Women have gained empowerment and are moving at par with men in male dominant society. The evidence is everywhere; the voice of women is increasingly heard in Parliament, courts and in the streets. In the current world women have chosen to be free from old traditions, beliefs and sentiments which have inhibited their self-expression and have been a barrier to their possibilities and their will. The rise of feminist ideas has, however, led to the tremendous improvement of women's condition through out the world. Truly, the trend is a healthy one.
Access to education has been one of the most pressing demands of theses women's rights movements. Women Education not only helps in the development of half of the human resources, but in improving the quality of life at home and outside. Educated women not only tend to promote education of their girl children, but also can provide better guidance to all their children. Moreover educated women can also help in the reduction of secretive abortion on the basis of prenatal genetic diagnosis and growth of the population
.
In recent years there have been explicit moves to increase women's political participation. Women have been given representation in the Panchayati Raj system as a sign of political empowerment. There are many elected women representatives at the village council level. At the central and state levels too women are progressively making a difference. Today we have women Chief Ministers in five large states of India.
Women are becoming ever more noticeable in the domestic and international front in media, entertainment, business, IT, politics and literature. Whether it is a women specific media house - Kali for Women or the Electrolux FE Awards for businesswomen, there is growing acknowledgment of female go-getters and the surfacing of powerful Indian women.
Whether it is Barkha Dutt, who has become an inspiration for prospective journalists, Arundhati Roy, a Booker Prize Winner and a social worker, or Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, who became the wealthiest Indian woman after the first public submission of her company, Biocon , they have all heralded the influx of Indian women professionals.

Today women with their smartness, grace and elegance have conquered the whole world. They with their hard work and sincerity have excelled in each and every profession. Women are considered to be more honest, meticulous, and efficient and hence more and more companies prefer hiring women for better performance and result.
The argument is no longer that men are stronger and brighter but that women too have equally great capacities for great achievements.
